If you guys want more tutorials just let me know. This is a really simple wallpaper so there aren’t a whole lot of advanced techniques in it. I figured I should start simple and work my way up if you guys want it.
Suggestion: instead of having to take the eraser tool to the text itself (thus rasterizing the text and making it difficult to edit further, like if you want God to hate Jews instead), you could instead use one of the selection tools to select the skyline, cut it out, and paste it into a new layer. Then you can add the text as a new layer between the background layer and the building layer. This also opens up opportunities for more advanced tricks (like defocusing/blurring the foreground, for example).
Excellent guide nonetheless, and props for being GIMPed.
